The monster has arrived. It has been roaring for two days now. The excavators have built an access “road” around the back of the garage, and in the process built a kind of curtain drain to help with water run off from the bank. They’ve also been cutting down the bigger trees that we did not tackle. That big machine makes it look so effortless, handling the heavy trunks and piles of brush with ease. It helps to have the bucket to put pressure on the trunk so that it falls the way you want it to – away from the building!

I saw a little garter snake slithering across the open ground this afternoon. I hope he manages to find a safe spot in the woods before the monster gets him.
The painters have been busy too. They built this spraying tent to prime all the doors. What a time saver, but it sure played havoc with the alarm system. We’re close to being done. The end is in sight.
