Progress 14

linen closetoffice closetClosets! What wonderful things! Since we don’t have much storage in our main house, we’ve tried to access as much usable space as possible in the garage/barn – actually we’ve started calling it a carriage house. These 2 closets are located under the eaves of the gambrel roof.
The single one is in the bathroom and will be used as a linen closet. This option gave us more counter space around the sink. The workmen essentially made a box with shelves that slid into place through the doorway to make a nice clean, contained space. They did a great job, don’t ya think?

The double closet is in Roger’s future office. The workmen are basically lining the triangular space so it is clean and contained and then outfitting it with shelves. The closets in my studio space are essentially the same except for the distance between the shelves. My closets are all finished, but since there are no knobs on the doors and I had no tools, I couldn’t get the doors open to take pix.

There’s a little more trim work and then the hardwood floor will go down. There’s light at the end of the tunnel for the building completion. The real fun starts though when the excavator comes to install the new septic field. Stay tuned…

Nice Mom. That’s exciting. I can’t wait to see things when I’m back for Christmas. šŸ™‚
